OVF membership is a network of venture capital firms, private investors, banks, non-bank lenders, attorneys, accountants, business consultants, economic development representatives, universities and others committed to fostering the growth of new and existing business ventures and the commercialization of new ideas and technologies in Oklahoma.

Mission, Vision & Values

Dedicated to fostering the growth of new and existing business ventures in Oklahoma.

This mission is carried out in three phases:

• Networking – Assisting and matching early-stage businesses with private and institutional investors, and providing access to strategic partners, service providers and experienced business leaders.
• Education – Teaching and informing entrepreneurs about the capital-raising and business development processes through presentations, panels, and special guests.
• Recognition - Publicly recognizing and honoring the achievements of successful businesses in Oklahoma. 

Our History

 In the mid-1980’s, Oklahoma City was a town beset by oil and gas industry induced recession.  At that time, a number of city leaders and organizations were trying to determine what could be done to diversify the area’s industrial base and to change the future economic outlook of the city.  One such effort, initiated by the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, yielded the seeds of an organization called the Oklahoma Venture Forum (OVF).
